[the feed shows Douglas Cartland blinking in the middle of a random field in the sunlight, shielding his eyes from the sun. He's got his 'gear in one hand and his Shuckle in the other and he's staring hard into the screen]
How the heck do I... how am I supposed to work this thing? Is it like a phone? One of those new video phone things or...

Oh, it's recordin'. Okay. Well uh... not sure if anybody can hear this but I'd really like to know where I am. Some woman gave me lunch and shoved me outside when I woke up this morning, but that's not really important. What I really wanna know is where I woke up.

Date: 2011-11-29 08:37 pm (UTC)I don't really have much of those, I guess. Most of my family's dead, same with friends. When you get to be this age, people start... ya know... succumbin' to old age. It's just natural. Heather's really the only friend I've got left.

FBI ... certainly keeps you busy. But I doubt it's too different from other means of upholding the law when it comes down to it, other than a dramatic flair for the crimes committed and what's printed on top of the paperwork.

Even if some of it's more intense. Like the FBI, I'm guessin'. I don't exactly deal with stuff like you guys do in my line of work; more like kidnappings and missing persons, stuff like that. Sounds like the stuff you do'd take a lot outta ya.
