[the 'gear is currently in motion, being carried around by Kal-El who's scrambling around on the floor playing with it. Now and then glimpses of Douglas can be seen sitting on the bed of his room in the inn with his head in his hands. He's breathing heavily, and it's pretty obvious that he's been chasing the Pokemon around trying to get the 'gear from him, though to no avail]

Just feel free to ignore it. He's bein' a pain in the ass again.

A lot of pokemon seem take interest in our gear. Maybe giving them something else so they're distracted might help?

Douglas still sounds slightly out of breath but not quite as frustrated]

Yeah, I'm okay. Just a little winded is all.

That's a pretty good idea. Never thought of that. They do get distracted pretty easy, huh?

... you shouldn't be chasing them around like that. You don't sound so well. It will just egg them on too.

Do you know if your pokemon likes any activities? Something that would occupy its interest? Once you get the gear out of its hands, putting Repel on it usually helps from keeping it away from them.

Yeah, guess I'm too stubborn for my own good, huh?

[he chuckles]

I dunno. The little guy just seems to like eatin' and causin' trouble for the most part, and I can't always been feedin' him or he'll get as fat as he wants to be.

[Chidori expresses... absolutely no understanding for this situation.]

[That's all she has to say on the Pokémon's behavior.]

Yeah, seems like he thought it'd be funny, but it's not. No idea why he hasn't stopped when he realized nobody was laughin' though.

You have quite a playful pokémon there, it seems!

Playful's one word for it, I guess.

[he does sound a little amused, though]

Whatever ya call it, I guess I should just be glad he's obviously healthy, if he can run around like that.

That's always a good thing! It can get rather nerve-wracking if they get hurt or sick. And the nurses can get kinda scary.

They get sick? I didn't realize... I guess since they're such weird creatures, the thought never crossed my mind.

Have you tried a squirt bottle and yelling no?

I really haven't, I guess. Seems like it could work.

Is that what you do when they're misbehavin'?

Sometimes, yeah. Or...put them in the poke'ball. I guess it's kind of like grounding them.

I'll have to find a squirt bottle, then. I guess havin' pokemon's mostly the same as havin' kids.

_{[Henry opens his mouth, then shuts it, looking somewhat terrified.]

Guess you could say they. They sure have a way of not listenin' when I tell 'em to do stuff.

Perhaps they don't like you? Not trustworthy enough? [He wouldn't trust you either, really... But from Vincent and his levels of trust, that's not saying much.]

Well, I never did anything to make 'em not trust me, but I guess it makes sense. They don't seem to trust too easy.

How funny. Mine trusted me straight away.

Did you try using the pokeball?

Can't seem to get him in it. He's... a lot faster than me, I guess.

Then try to find something that catches his attention more than anything. Try to strike him while he's busy with something else.

Strike him? I dunno if that's such a good idea.

_{[... Eesh. She feels a little bad for sending Douglas a Pokemon that's so hard to control.]}

I don't think he'd do that. Just likes givin' me grief.

[he smiles slightly, shaking his head]
